CLIFF PATHS & WHALES
Hermanus, renowned as one of South Africas leading tourist destinations offers the best land based whale watching with its more than 10 km long Cliff Path which winds its way along the magnificent shoreline along the rocky outcrops. The Cliff Paths attract several thousand visitors to this bustling seaside village each year to view the Southern Right Whales at play in the bay.

Each year a traditional whale festival is held. Prior to this a "Kalfie Fees" (Calf Festival) is held to welcome the first whales to the bay. Each festival is host to craft and food stalls, drama productions and live local bands. This is an occasion not to be missed.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS
Other tourist attractions include the old harbour, stretches of beautiful white beaches, the market place, rich fishing grounds, yachting, surfing, SCUBA diving, wine estates and world famous floral reserves.
