HERMANUS:
Hermanus, renowned as one of South Africas leading tourist destinations offers the best land based whale watching with its more than 10 km long Cliff Path which winds its way along the magnificent shoreline along the rocky outcrops. The Cliff Paths attract several thousand visitors to this bustling seaside village each year to view the Southern Right Whales at play in the bay.
Each year a traditional whale festival is held. Prior to this a "Kalfie Fees" (Calf Festival) is held to welcome the first whales to the bay. Each festival is host to craft and food stalls, drama productions and live local bands. This is an occasion not to be missed.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS
Other tourist attractions include the old harbour, stretches of beautiful white beaches, the market place, rich fishing grounds, yachting, surfing, SCUBA diving, wine estates and world famous floral reserves.

Hermanus sports a challenging 27 hole golf course in addition to the Arabella Golf Course which is a mere 25 km scenic drive from Harbour Vue Guest House.
ABAGOLD ABALONE FARM
A first in South Africa - visit our very own Abalone farm where you can see how Abalone is cultivated in a controlled environment. You can purchase live, canned and frozen Abalone at the plant.
The village offers several fine pubs, restaurants and coffee shops to suit all tastes and budgets.
GAANSBAAI:
A trip to the Overberg is not complete without a visit to this bustling village which boasts a commercial abalone farming enterprise at Danger Point. Beautiful stretches of beaches and outstanding fishing spots abound in this neck of the woods. There are hiking trails in fynbos reserves, the famous cliffs at De Kelders and whale watching land or sea based.
Enjoy delicious fresh seafood at one of the local eateries from the day's local catch.
STANFORD:
Where Stanford was once known as a typical weekend getaway destination, it is fast becoming home to many. Its tranquility and harmony with nature attracts those seeking the fresh country air, diverse birdlife and magnificent fynbos which abounds in the Stanford area.
Gentle hikes, interesting historical architecture and a multitude of local arts and crafts will keep you busy for hours on end.
